Brief Bio

My name is Niki Poutre and I am a senior here at Roger Williams University, and I am majoring in Criminal Justice with minors in both Psychology and Anthropology/Sociology. While I am not entirely sure what my future career path will hold, I do know that it will be somewhere between the lines of forensics and investigation. This past summer, I had the opportunity to hold a position as an intern with the Braintree Massachusetts Police Department. Coming into this position, I held qualifications in research, problem solving, organization and much more. I regularly reported to the records department where I would either help the two lovely ladies who ran that department organize files or I would be called to participate in a ride along where I was able to catch a glimpse of what it is like to be a police officer. As someone who has always had a passion for helping others and making sure problems are solved, this career path is something I have set in motion for myself and I plan to take every opportunity I can that will bring me even closer to my future career.
